“The Glory” follows a former victim of violent school violence who vows vengeance on her assailants after becoming the elementary school homeroom teacher of her bully’s child. Song Hye Kyo, who previously collaborated on the successful drama “Descendants of the Sun” with “The Glory” writer Kim Eun Sook, will portray the vengeful heroine Moon Dong Eun, while Lee Do Hyun will play the problematic male lead Joo Yeo Jung.
The teaser opens with Dong Eun threatening retribution as her old tormentor Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) goes down the aisle in a white bridal gown. Dong Eun begins approaching the perpetrators of the awful abuse she endured, Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), Sa Ra (Kim Hieora), Hye Jung (Cha Joo Young), and Myung Oh (Kim Gun Woo), one by one, along with Yeon Jin’s spouse Do Young (Jung Sung Il).
When Yeon Jin realizes her reunion with Dong Eun isn’t a coincidence, he rants at her, “You should have simply died back then!” Meanwhile, Sa Ra remains calm as she assures Dong Eun that she does not want her forgiveness, adding, “I’ve already apologized for all I did to you, and I’ve gained salvation.” Hye Jung, on the other side, begs on her knees, insisting, “We all make errors as we grow older, right?”
Dong Eun, on the other hand, is not alone in her pursuit for vengeance. “I want to be on your side,” Hyun Nam (Yeom Hye Ran) approaches her in secret. Please murder for me.” Yeo Jung, another ally for Dong Eun, vows, “I’ll do it. “I’ll be your hangman.”
Dong Eun issues an alarming warning at the conclusion of the trailer: “You should pray to me… for you, who will fall, and for me, who will be corrupted.”
The film “The Glory” will be available on Netflix on December 30. Meanwhile, check out the new trailer with English subtitles below!
