Big Screen Comeback, 6 Hyun Bin Korean Movie Recommendations.

Not only popular thanks to his appearance in various Korean dramas, but Hyun Bin also often appears in films. Hyun Bin, who last appeared in the film Rampant (2018), this year he is reported to have returned to the big screen through Confidential Assignment 2: International (2022).

1. Confidential Assignment 2: International (2022)
Confidential Assignment 2: International (2022) sequel to Confidential Assignment (2017). The film, rumoured to be airing in September 2022, will be directed by Lee Seok Hoon, director of The Pirates (2014) and The Himalayas (2015).
In this film, Hyun Bin plays Im Chul Ryung, a North Korean special investigation team detective who returns to South Korea to pursue a brutal and secret criminal organization. He teams up again with Kang Jin Tae (Yoo Hae Jin), who voluntarily works with North Korea to return to the investigation team after his misdeeds in the cyber crime department.
2. Rampant (2018)
Rampant (2018) tells the story of Lee Chung (Hyun Bin), who returns to his hometown, but suddenly gets attacked by Kim Ja Joon (Jang Dong Gun). Kim Ja Joong plots a coup and takes over Joseon from King Lee Jo (Kim Eui Sung).
Kim Ja Joon used the zombies to kill Lee Chung but was eventually rescued by the locals. Lee Chung is a prince held hostage by the Qing Dynasty.
3. The Negotiation (2018)
The Negotiation (2018) tells the story of a police officer who has to negotiate with a mafia boss who kidnaps his boss. The story begins when Ha Chae Yoon (Son Ye Jin), an expert negotiator from the police, resigns because he failed his last Assignment.
In this film, Hyun Bin plays Min Tae Koo, a cruel hostage taker who kidnaps two Koreans in Bangkok, Thailand. For 21 hours, he tried to force her to reveal her motives.
4. The Swindlers (2017)
Another movie starring Hyun Bin is The Swindlers (2017). This film tells the story of a con man who was reported dead after committing a major fraud case but is suddenly rumoured to be alive.
A prosecutor, Park Hee Soo (Yoo Ji Tae), who colluded with the con man, must eliminate him to avoid a corruption scandal. So much fun!
As for Hyun Bin’s character, he plays the character of Ji Sung, another con man who is also after the same man for personal revenge. Ji Sung then teams up with Park Hee Soo, but each has ulterior motives.
5. Confidential Assignment (2017)
Confidential Assignment (2017) is a prequel to the film Confidential Assignment 2: International (2022). In this film, Hyun Bin appears with the same artist, Yoo Hae Jin and Im Yoon Ah.
The film is about a North Korean detective, Im Chul Ryung (Hyun Bin), who is sent to South Korea to arrest Cha Ki Sung (Kim Joo Hyuk), the boss of a North Korean refugee crime organization. Chul Ryung teams up with South Korean detective Kang Jin Tae (Yoo Hae Jin). The two countries are working together to bring down criminals for the first time.
6. The Fatal Encounter (2014)
The Fatal Encounter (2014) is set in 1777, one year since King Jung Jo (Hyun Bin) took over the government. At that time, he lived a palace life full of threats from those around him with political ambitions.
King Jung Jo’s character is very calm and considerate, but he also feels scared. The only one he trusts is his loyal palace servant, Gap Soo (Jung Jae Young), who is called the shadow king.
