Blackpink Member Support for Jisoo’s Debut Drama, Snowdrop that Aired Today

The latest Korean drama, Snowdrop, starring Jisoo Blackpink and Jung Hae In, will premiere tonight, Saturday, December 18, 2021. The members of Blackpink provide support to Jisoo through various uploads on Instagram.

They re-uploaded Blackpink’s Jisoo photos while attending the Snowdrop press conference on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Blackpink’s Rose praised the beauty of Jisoo, who looked elegant in a black mini dress with loose hair. Rose calls Jisoo an unnie or a nickname for older sister. “My unnie is beautiful. ‘Snowdrop,’ let’s be a hit!” Rose wrote to complete the photo.

Besides Rose, Blackpink’s Jennie also showed her enthusiasm for Jisoo’s debut drama. Jennie even called Jisoo by the name of her role in Snowdrop. “Our Young Ro. Waiting, waiting, waiting,” wrote Jennie on Instagram Story.

Jisoo replied to the upload of the two colleagues. He wrote “Chu-stalker Chaeng-ie,” while replying to Rose’s Instagram Story. As for Jennie, she thanked her for the food provided. “Thank you, dumplings. Let’s make and eat dumplings again,” wrote Jisoo.
Blackpink’s Lisa did not appear to have uploaded photos of Jisoo’s new drama. But during a live broadcast, Jisoo said that Lisa sent a written message to her after the press conference. “Lisa might have watched my (press conference) because she texted me earlier saying, ‘Unnie, you’re beautiful! You work hard,” said Jisoo, quoted from Soompi on Friday, December 17, 2021.

Previously, Jisoo had revealed that she received support from other Blackpink members, Lisa, Rose, and Jennie. To Jisoo, the three of them had promised to watch Snowdrop as a form of support for their best friend. “Because the members supported me and expressed curiosity, I also gained strength and was able to work harder for filming,” said Jisoo Blackpink quoted from Soompi on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Snowdrop took place in Seoul in 1987. Snowdrop will present an emotional love story between college student Soo Ho (Jung Hae In) and Young Ro (Jisoo Blackpink). Soo Ho is a student at a prestigious university who one day rushes to the girls’ dormitory covered in blood. Meanwhile, Young Ro is a student at a girl’s university who hides Soo Ho and treats his injuries in the face of danger.

The Korean drama Snowdrop is the work of writer Yoo Hyun Mi and director Jo Hyun Tak. The drama, starring Jung Hae In and Blackpink’s Jisoo, will premiere starting December 18, 2021, on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service.
