FT Island’s Choi Min-hwan and Laboum’s Yul-hee have decided to part ways after five years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 and have three children together, made the announcement separately on their respective channels.

Choi Min-hwan expressed his feelings, stating, “After long and careful deliberation, we have taken the difficult decision to end our marriage.” He acknowledged the support they received when they decided to start a family at a young age and apologized for any disappointment this news might cause.

Emphasizing his ongoing commitment as a father, he added, “I will continue to do my best to ensure our children are not left with any emotional scars.” Yul-hee also shared her thoughts, emphasizing mutual support despite their separation. “We have decided to support each other on our individual paths,” she remarked.

Highlighting their continued roles as parents, Yul-hee mentioned, “Our journey as a couple ends here, but not as parents. We are dedicated to taking care of our children and minimizing their psychological stress.”

The couple, known for revealing their married life on TV shows like KBS2’s ‘Men who run the house 2,’ were embroiled in dating rumors before marrying. Yulhee, after acknowledging her romantic relationship with Choi Min-hwan, had decided to leave Laboum. They have a son and twin daughters.

Both Choi Min-hwan and Yul-hee have expressed their gratitude to their families, team members, and fans for their support over the years and seek understanding and warm regards for their future endeavors.
