On March 16, Kim Seon Ho’s agency SALT Entertainment announced, “[Kim Seon Ho] has received an appearance offer for the new drama ‘Mangnaein’ [romanized, working title] and is positively reviewing.”
Similarly, Park Gyu Young’s agency Saram Entertainment shared, “Park Gyu Young has received an offer for the female lead in ‘Mangnaein’ and is positively reviewing. It is not confirmed.”
“Mangnaein” follows the story of a woman who struggles to come to terms with her younger sibling taking their own life and the mysterious man she meets while investigating the case.
The drama will be helmed by director Kim Ji Woon of films “I Saw the Devil,” “Doomsday Book,” “The Age of Shadows,” and “Cobweb,” along with director Park Bo Ram of SBS’s “Through the Darkness.” “Mangnaein” is set to be produced as a six-episode series and released on various OTT (over-the-top) platforms.
Earlier this day, Kim Seon Ho confirmed that he would not star in the upcoming historical romance drama “Hash’s Shinru” (working title). He is filming director Park Hoon Jung’s new film “Tyrant” (literal translation).
Park Gyu Young was recently announced to star opposite ASTRO‘s Cha Eun Woo in the upcoming webtoon-based fantasy romance drama “A Good Day to Be a Dog” (working title). She is also awaiting the premiere of her upcoming Netflix series “Celebrity” and Seasons 2 and 3 of “Sweet Home.”
