NCT’s Taeil has left the group amid allegations of a sexual crime, leaving fans in shock over the abrupt news.
On the 28th, SM Entertainment, NCT’s agency, announced, “We recently confirmed that Taeil has been accused of a sexual crime.” They further explained, “Upon investigating, we realized the severity of the situation. We have decided that he can no longer remain in the group. After discussions with Taeil, we have agreed on his departure.”
The agency also stated, “Taeil is fully cooperating with the police investigation,” adding that “additional details will be provided as the investigation progresses.” They ended their statement with a public apology, saying, “We sincerely apologize for the controversy caused by our artist.”
