SEVENTEEN and HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk have received the Culture Ambassador Award at the Los Angeles, Capital of Culture & Creativity (LA3C) festival!
SEVENTEEN and Bang Si Hyuk received the Building K-ulture Bridges: Culture Ambassador Award for the LA3C festival on December 9th, local time, at The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
The Penske Media Corporation, which publishes several prominent music media publications in the United States, including Billboard, Rolling Stone, and others, hosts the LA3C festival. SEVENTEEN and Bang Si Hyuk awarded the Culture Ambassador Award on the opening day of the three-day event, recognizing them as bridges between American and Korean culture, as well as Asian culture.
“While simultaneously thinking that this [award] is cheering on the efforts of HYBE, which is presenting various cultural content based on music and artists to fans all over the world,” said Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, “I feel a sense of responsibility to work harder to create higher quality music and content.”
“This year, we interacted with fans while holding our tour performances across many locales like Seoul, the United States, Canada, Southeast Asia, and Japan over several months,” SEVENTEEN said. We felt as though we were becoming one via music, regardless of ethnicity or language. As the interchange of cultures grows, we are pleased and delighted that SEVENTEEN may also play a part.”
