Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun’s forthcoming drama “The Glory” has revealed new stills!

“The Glory” follows a former victim of violent school violence who exacts vengeance on her assailants after becoming the elementary school homeroom teacher of her bully’s child. The drama will be written by Kim Eun Sook, who has written blockbuster dramas such as “Goblin,” “Descendants of the Sun,” “Heirs,” and “Secret Garden,” and directed by Ahn Gil Ho, who has directed “Happiness,” “Forest of Secrets” (“The Stranger”), “Memories of the Alhambra,” and “Record of Youth.”
Song Hye Kyo, who previously collaborated with Kim Eun Sook on “Descendants of the Sun,” will portray vengeful heroine Moon Dong Eun, while Lee Do Hyun will play male lead Joo Yeo Jung.
The freshly released stills show Moon Dong Eun preparing for her long-awaited retaliation. Joo Yeo Jung and Kang Hyun Nam are among her fans (Yeom Hye Ran). The stills also show Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon), Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora), Choi Hye Jung (Cha Joo Young), Son Myung Oh (Kim Gun Woo), and Park Yeon Jin’s spouse Ha Do Young, who are Moon Dong Eun’s worst nightmares and who drove her to plan vengeance (Jung Sung Il). Furthermore, Jung Ji So portrays the youthful Moon Dong Eun, while Shin Ye Eun portrays the innocent Park Yeon Jin.
Song Hye Kyo said of her role, “Because she is a figure who requires a lot of comfort, I [emphasized] not presenting her in a pathetic manner,” adding that she paid special attention to the intricacies in her tone and tempo when recording the narration for the drama.
“He may seem to be a joyful and innocent guy, but he is a figure with dual nature,” Lee Do Hyun said of his role. Director Ahn Gil Ho particularly praised Lee Do Hyun for his depiction of Yeo Jung and his metamorphosis as the story progressed.
“[I intended] to create a villain only Lim Ji Yeon could represent,” Lim Ji Yeon said. “There will be no rationale or praise for Yeon Jin’s sins and nastiness,” scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook said. That is the cause for this series’ existence.” Lim Ji Yeon agreed with Kim Eun Sook’s assertion.
