Song Hye Kyo sold her house for a profit of more than 2 million USD.

Actress Song Hye Kyo sold real estate in Gangnam, Seoul, for 7.9 billion won (more than six million USD), making 2.9 billion won (2.2 million USD).
According to Biz Hankook, the actor has been selling a detached apartment for 8.2 billion won (6.2 million USD) since 2019, but the impact of the epidemic made the transaction process not as expected. After consulting acquaintances in the industry, Song Hye Kyo lowered the price and completed the transaction in April, making a profit after 17 years.
The property was built in the Hyundai complex at Samseong-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, Korea, in 1985. The total land area is 454 m2, and the construction floor area is about 303 m2. The apartment was initially owned by billionaire Koo Bon Joon – chairman of LX Holdings, specializing in energy, technology, tourism, and industrial materials. In 2001, he sold it to the couple Cha In Pyo – Shin Ae Ra. Four years later, Song Hye Kyo bought it for 5 billion won ($3.8 million) and brought her mother back to live there.
Last year, the star spent 19.5 billion won ($17.4 million) on buying a five-story, two-basement building in Hannam-dong, Seoul. The building was built seven years ago, and the land area is 150 square meters. Some realtors rate the building’s architecture and interior as beautiful, with the potential for high prices.
In addition to the above real estate, Hye Kyo owns a two-story house bought for 8.5 billion won ($7.6 million) in 2014, a home in the US worth $2.8 million.
Hankookilbo says Song Hye Kyo is among Korea’s highest-paid for each drama episode. With 16 episodes, each person pocketed about 3.2 billion won (2.4 million USD).
