In addition to surpassing heavyweight rival Blackpink, TWICE also unexpectedly broke the record of 79 points of the album “Ten” that Girls Aloud has held for the past 8 years on this site. Taste of Love is currently the only girl group album in the top 5 highest scoring albums by a K-pop artist on Metacritic.
It is known that before that, TWICE’s album was also rated 7.3 points by the prestigious Pitchfork website. This achievement of TWICE has surpassed very strong opponent BTS and even Blackpink. It is known that the album with the highest score of BTS on this site is Love Yourself: Tear (7.1 points).
Thus, with the product marking their return, TWICE has made a series of admirable achievements against strong opponents.
