Will 2023 be a difficult year for Blackpink and BTS?

Until now, Blackpink and BTS are still the top 2 Kpop groups. They not only own a large fan base but also have many awards during their time pursuing a singing career.
However, at a stage, Blackpink and BTS face difficult choices.
Is Blackpink in danger of disbanding?
For groups, the number 7 years is considered a fateful number. Because this is the end of the contract, before that, girl groups like Sistar, 4MINUTE, miss A, KARA, and 2NE1 all disbanded.
Therefore, fans are quite worried about Blackpink’s condition. Because the girls will end their contracts in 2023, there are still a few months left to have their direction; they either sign the contract again or separate to work solo.
During the recent promotion of new music products, Blackpink almost rushed to introduce songs to the public, while they had two years without releasing any songs.
After that, the members all separated into their project activities. This also makes rumors of disbandment more and more likely.
Finally, with the rise of rookie girl groups such as SM Entertainment’s aespa, JYP Entertainment’s NMIXX, IVE’s Starship Entertainment, Source Music’s LE SSERAFIM, etc., all of them are gradually gaining ground and can be replaced. Groups like Blackpink, TWICE… This also makes their position shaken.
However, longtime Blackpink fans believe that the girls will not disband as soon as rumored. Even Blackpink herself once revealed that they want to be together for life.
What is BTS like when a member enlists in the army in 2023?
Until now, BTS is a Kpop group with global influence. Since their establishment, the boys have brought back a series of terrible records with high profits for the management company and the Korean entertainment industry.
Previously, according to the Korean military, BTS would enlist in the army to ensure fairness. However, the Seoul National Assembly passed a bill allowing global K-pop stars like BTS to raise the national service age to 30. So next year, the first person to enlist is Jin. Thus, in 2023, BTS only has six members who can regularly work with the group.
In August, South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-Sup said that if BTS members signed up for the service, they would be flexible in group activities. They are likely allowed to continue practicing and join the rest of the group on overseas tours. Although in 2023, if member Jin joins the army and can return to perform with the group, he will certainly not be able to participate in projects with BTS fully.
Previously, BTS also announced a temporary hiatus from group activities to allow the members to develop their orientations. This makes fans doubt that the management company is trying to let the members build individual products to match their military service schedule.
