Renowned singer Kim Chung-hoon, recognized as the father of actor Kim Soo-hyun, celebrated his second wedding on the 13th of this month, as reported by The Fact.
The ceremony marked Kim Chung-hoon’s union with his long-time partner, Ahn, held at a venue in Gangnam, Seoul. Notably absent from the event was his son, Kim Soo-hyun. Explaining the absence, Kim Chung-hoon expressed concerns that his son’s attendance might attract undue attention and impose a burden on the occasion. Consequently, the guest list primarily comprised close acquaintances, including Kim Beom-ryong, Lee Seung-cheol, Jo Gap-kyung, Lee Chi-hyun, Seo Geo, Lee Byeong-cheol, Bae Dong-seong, and Na Kyung-hoon.
Kim Chung-hoon rose to prominence in the 1980s as a member of the popular group Seven Dolphins, achieving widespread acclaim with hits like ‘Bambudu’. Transitioning to rock ballads as his primary genre, he continued to carve a niche for himself in the music industry. In 2009, he embarked on a new chapter in his career as a trot singer, sustaining his active presence with releases such as ‘Oppa is Here’.
